1st Votart Silak with 4624

3rd Dec10 with 4436 Dec10 also had a nice fun entry

Some nice alternative solutions too. Rubber was surprisingly competitive.

I tweaked for ages, but could not get my trebuchet to "fling" the dillo any better.
Either he fell out, or was hooked in the cloth and pulled down.
It took just three tweaks after seeing mark_man's solution to get it perfect - either a gentle lob, or a fast missile, straight through the portal. And so easy to tune.
I'm sure I tried this configuration during my development attempts, but it didn't work.

In the end it was easier to tweak it for a weak lob to make the catcher much cheaper.
Tweaked to 4674!

I agree - the last two challenges have been very quiet compared with previous challenges.


Nice job with the tweak. It's a lovely lob and very elegant catcher. The best solutions always look effortless.

I had started on a lower anchor for the pulley centre, but went higher in my frustration at not getting enough lob into the dillo. Stuck with it now.
