Sadly only three competitors in this contest. Decsystem10 put in an early entry of 1744 beating Votarts first solution of 1666. Then Rob joined in and it was a fight to the finish with Votart. Right up to the last hour Votart was $8 in front but then Rob tweaked his solution to get an impressive 1821 to take the first place.

Congratulations Rob, love the catcher :D

I would like to suggest a small change. In the contests we run the finish time as GMT, the web site runs at UTC + 2 hours and I am 1 hour infront of GMT :? :? and I am sure you are all in different time zones as well. The time keeping for contests IMO would be far easier to keep track of if we used the time displayed on the site.

If you all agree then we can stop putting the GMT link at the beginning of contests and stick to the time display on the Board index page. :D

I must disagree, GMT is the only way to make sure everybody knows when the contest ends. You can however go to the user control panel of this site and change the displaytime to gmt (or any other timezone you prefer) You can also turn on or off summer time. If we all set our forumtime to gmt the problem is solved :D

Another related question. What (gmt) time do you all like most for contest ending? For me anywhere between 1800 gmt and 2200 gmt is great.

I'll have a look at the results now and try to come up with a nice A level.

We learn something new every day, I did't know you could change the displayed time. I've changed mine now so no more confusion :D

I am quite happy with the end times you prefer Rob, that is evening where I am so it's perfect for getting in a last minute tweak :D .
