Hi, I'm back :D
Have to agree with votart this time mark, the most stupid simple solution I could think of (much less than 5 minutes) is 2000+++ :lms:
I always like levels with a huge numer of anchors, nice one ion.

Welcome back Rob :D There was a good reason why I started so low. And yes my score is also way over 2000. We have one new member taking part and possibly a second so I was keeping the first bid nice and low :D

I am doing my best to entice new members into the game so please go easy with the bidding in the first couple of days.

I have requested a Beginners League (like the old N League) so new members can use this to gain some experience before they play in the A & B Leagues. Most new members get completely slaughtered playing against us and even those who just look at our scores are probably scared away.

When the Beginners League is up and running we need not be so concerned with keeping our bids so low.

I am more than happy to dedicate a lot of my spare time to this forum and to help new members find their feet, at present there is little here to help and guide them. It will be a great help if some of you could design some nice easy levels for newcomers to learn from and give them as much encouragement as you can to help them get to grips with AR. I am sure this site will never die but it could certainly do with a lot more players, so lets make it happen :D There is plenty of info here for AR1 but it is seriously lacking for AR2 with all its new features and no Dark Force so newcomers can easily get confused and lost, then give up.

I'm with you, MarkM
The problem with the previous N (which is what this A should be) was that it was very tempting for experts to show what could be done, but they were so far out of range it was dispiriting rather than encouraging or teaching, especially when it used the 'grey' force stuff.
New players need to have fun in their league. The keen and the tweakers can always look in the B if they want to research advanced stuff.
We need puzzles with loads of alternative solutions and no experts, and certainly none of the "surely nobody has scored less than 9890 on this one".

2550+ by the way.

Thank you for your support decsystem10 :).

But why such a massive raise :? that has blasted my first solution out of the water :( and quite possibly scared away any beginners from this contest.

EDIT. I have just got a bit more than 2550 but will not raise yet.

Well, since the low bidding is shot to heck, why don't we let it go this time and really push ourselves? This seems like a level that can make some HARD competition!

2580+

EDIT: And what is up with how insanely brittle all the materials are? Is the gravity changed and now showing up, or what?

Ohhh good, it's not just me who has noticed how easily things seem to be breaking. The gravity is set to normal so it must have something to do with the number of Anchors :?. but clearly something to do with the physics engine.

As far as the bidding goes :?. It is probably already to high for any newcomer to catch up so I guess we may as well go for it :)

I'd make a report to Peter, but I'm not sure how to isolate the issue. I understand that the huge armadillo's weight is the cause of the strange explosions any time a loose link so much as touches Big Grey, but even after it clears things seem too weak. Not sure how to proceed in experimentation.

Also: How did you make such a straight grid of nodes without AREdit, Ioncorpse? It looks beautiful.
