Welcome to the 7th AR2 A league contest: Catch Us

I'm sorry, I'm stupid. I made POC in level editor, in it - level isn't ends after dillo goes down. I added fixed version. This my second bad mistake, suppose I'm stupid twice. :oops: :oops: :oops:

So, it's unusual.
Unusual means lots of experimentation, testing.
Not to mention that having the portals outside of the main area means we can't zoom in on catchers to fine tweak them.

However, they are just first impressions. When I have some time I'll take another look and think about how to go about doing this.

Edit: Oh, and just to piss us off you have removed metal bars, so we can't even hold our catchers open. I'm not sure thats such a good move considering we can't fine tune our catchers that are already bouncing around all over the place from falling.

Are you sure this is possible? It seems that the level fails before the 'dillo has fallen below all the material (I have a catcher that the dillo is about to fall into and it fails right before it lands there). :s

Oh yeah, and it's impossible. Hahahahaha. Show us your POC ioncorpse, lol.

Might I suggest you put the portals inside the play area. It's A league. Having to build catchers that also have to fall into place is really just irritatingly difficult for no good reason. It would be a far more appealing level if I could just build the catcher where I want it in the first place. All the bouncing around of the catchers is going to make them so random to tweak.

Yep.. though this kind of reveals another thing to be fixed in later versions of AR2 - it should be made so you can complete the level with the dillo outside of the boundaries and so the level wouldn't fail if there is still something below the dillo. :|

Well, I think it's intriguing....
But I seem to have the same problem as MX - it dies before the red hits its portal.
(Or is that part of the puzzle?)

Old level can be solved (ARs in portal, but I think it's not right). New version is available. POC is done. :| :( :|

Just checking. The new version is meant to have a catcher already now?

I sure hope so because now it's fun, and I'm spending time solving it.

Haven't drink anything yet, but you was right about "sick *animal*", I have a flu. :(

#edit: No problem, Vankwish. I still will try to win contests, even if my levels are freaking (you mean this, not anything else I suppose :wink: ). I will just test them more carefully...

It's still fun so don't worry. I'm busy tweaking.

Edit: Let's start at 1800+ :lms:
All my moaning can be ignored, once you realise the limitations like $20 rope and no metal bars it actually becomes easier.
Try it, it's really quite a nice level, but you won't know that until you play it and realise it's not what you expect.
