Some very nice scores, and some quite different approaches.

I declare ioncorpse the winner with a score of 2884. Although he has designated it as dark, the initial movement of the right-hand metal bar is quite minor (I did initially say best score wins, and using AR2 was intended to eliminate light/dark distinctions - a little more work to do, but I will get there!).

I liked the welding on the left hand metal bars in ioncorpse's 2884 Dark - minimalistic!
And I particularly liked Votart's 2810 First solution - good re-use!

Interesting thing: engineer in real world would think about solutions like yours, Peter or like 1st Votarts solution :D They are very cute.
In most cases - winner of the contest have minimalistic solution, chaotic solution or "not good looking" mechanism (like cheap asymmetic pooley). Nothing to worry about of course, but if I see results - I look at all solutions, sometimes best creativity is in the middle of them (by score).

Well done to Peter for creating a contest with so many possible solutions and well done to everybody who took part, some very inventive solutions. Congratulations to Ioncorpse for hitting the top score.
