Votart, would you mind keeping the betting a little lower the first day or two? Of course I also have more than 2700 but we realy should give possible newcomers the chance to join in before scores get to high for them.

I agree 6 days is too long, 3 days is more than enough for this level.

Do you realy think the (small) handfull of people that are active in the contests are enough or would you like to see more competitors? If you want more competitors you have to give them a chance to get started. If scores get very high very soon they just give up.

IMHO: There will not be too much competitors during beta-testing, I think that would be us + maybe some veterans will return (just need to let them know about beta).

I now think what the player we try to frighten off if Downloaded 5 times : I'm, ioncorpse, Overlord, markmadras, rob.
And whom from you I have frightened. All of us know that the score of the winner will be at least 2850-2900 :D

Downloaded 5 times in 4 hours......
The first A and B levels are downoaded 8 and 10 times, thats a more realistic figure.

Still think slowstarting the bidding is the best way to go, If there is just 1 new/old guy that downloads the level and joins in because he has a better score then what is posted so far we increase our active player list by 20%!!!

Votart, I consider you as a friend in this game, you are very good player :) but you often start the bidding high or you raise fast if someone else has started the bidding low. Many times other players have complained but you continue to bid high and fast. It would make everybody happy :D if you could just please slow down a little and only get close to max score on the last day or two.

This is how the rest of us like to play, to us it is an unwritten rule of the game to bid slowly.

What have you got to loose by slowing down :?: :?: patience is a virtue.

Maybe if the forum gets busy again we can run a fast league with 2 day contests and straight in with high bids up to max in a couple of hours. I would love that and so would you but that is not the way it is at the moment. :)

OK, my friends!

Henceforth, when I will speak about my score I will use only words: "less", "more", "equally" or corresponding signs: <,>,=.

More :!:

However, it is necessary to define in rules of League A that time of contest no more than 72 hours.

What yours opinion?

You are not being asked to completely change the way you bid, that will just cause confusion. All we ask is that you slow down to the same speed as everybody else. Be patient, that is all you need to do, the bidding is not a race.

IMO. The original concept of the A League was to run two contests per week so I agree they should be no longer than three days, four at the absolute maximum. Considering that we now only have Light solutions to complete I think three days will be adequate. What does everybody else think. Also, in the B League, the more difficult contests should only run for five days maximum. The host should have the final decision on the length of the contest but should base this on the complexity of the competition.

Yes votart, just do the bidding nice and slow for the first half of the contest :D

I agree with 3 days for A league and somewhere between 4 and 7 for B league depending on difficulty.
