Why do we need support for Counter Strike and such games?

Nick I generally dont wanna pay for games but I thought that because those 3 games had so much effort put into them I decided Valve deserved my money so I payed... Also FF's right; Steam is very good!

Because of cheaters. There are much less cheaters on steam servers, than on pirate servers.
