Here is the next contest level if PhilG's is too advanced, should be fun :)

bmissions to: smjjames@hotmail.com

Also, could you guys put your forum name in the message title to make sure I don't mistake it for junk mail, or at least put the contest name in.
thanks

Contest rules link: http://armadillo.metaclassofnil.com/for ... .php?t=232

Naming convention is:
[DollarsRemaining]-[YourForumName]-[SolutionName]

Example:
1234-smjjames-pwnage

GMT Time link: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

Also, if the moderator or others say that PhilG's contest is good and we should use that one, I'll go with it since I don't want to end up in a fight over it.

Edit: almost forgot the end date. I used the same as PhilG since a week is normal for these contests.

PERSONALLY I think this one is the better one, but thats my opinion...
In an ideal world, where anything and everything is in perfect form, is there a perfect form of imperfection?

Work THAT one out! :)

Double contests interest me; variety usually comes with quantity, and I'm more likely to play one of the levels offered if there are a bunch to choose from.

hmm, however does that mean I can't compete in the other competition in the N league? I know the contest hoster can't compete in thier own contest, but I'm not sure how it would go for two contests at the same time.

Maybe, but it may be up to the moderator(s) of the contest forums.

I'm all for having a double contest though.

nose out of joint

Postby decsystem10 » Thu Oct 04, 2007 5:44 pm

erm - I don't see too much involvement of PhilG here, unless there's been a lot of PM. I hope he's not miffed.

I'm at loss to understand the "too advanced" for N league concept - or at least for PhilG's contest.

It seems quite easy to *solve* it, even if its expensive and ungainly. I have a definitely unclever kludge with no finesse whatsoever, but it solved it in 10 minutes.

The problem seems to be that many of the regulars (A+) want elegant or cute, so its only 'too advanced' if you want B league answers to N league puzzles, and you're embarassed by timers and rockets.

What's wrong with a decent puzzle for those interested in N, provided that's all they're competing against?

For the last 3 paragraphs I have no idea what you are talking about...
