No, I don't think that's a problem. Welding is actually a useful and fun tool for light solutions as long as it's not creating stupid force.

I'm sure AR2 is going to have some "unrealistic" physics still, like materials moving through each other as you suggest, but that's not a bad thing really. Finding little tricks like that will add fun. It's only a problem when dark force is produced.

It's almost guaranteed that in time we will discover new "cheats" and ways to abuse the engine, but we will have to cross that bridge when we come to it.

Half the fun of AR1 was learning to abuse the engine, but we simply got too good at it. It got to a point where every solution used the same mechanics over and over again. No doubt we will reach that same scenario in the future with AR2, but being able to change the price of materials will help us to keep things interesting for longer. I know I'm looking forward to experimenting with elastic if it's priced more reasonably so it's finally useful in a solution.

Mega-awful bounce effect, I thought it's only for objects, anchored from both sides, but I was wrong. It's worser then ....
and what the main difference with bounce2???????

Power of bounce effect is very dependant on angle
Realistic :)

P.S. Don't want to send Peter PMs on every new "feature", does he looks in topics like this one?

As far as letting Peter know of bugs, force glitches....

I would appreciate comments/criticism, (especially negative - since it helps improve the game!) either in this thread or by email. Probably in this thread is better since it would help keep it all together and readable by everyone else. I will keep version 2 in this beta stage for at least 2 weeks (probably more) so I can give people an opportunity to request any changes.

Ioncorpse, I agree that is a strange effect. I had already posted an example of odd bouncing in the "Vote for AR2" thread and sent it on to Peter, there is definately something about the bounce effect that needs attention.

As Vankwish has said, please put all future comments in the thread below as Peter had requested. This C League thread was started for a trial contest so lets use it for that. :)

I nearly did it by accident solving this level, so I've done it on purpose.

1331+ :lms: (We should keep the medal symbol. It makes it easier to scan through the thread for scores. Took me some time to find marks score.)

The size of that raise would suggest you have a fair bit left.

I am only up to 1534 :lms: but still tweaking. :)
