Oops!

Corrected!
By the way, I sent contest without the solution. Whence it undertook I do not understand. May be it a my glitch or bug of AR2?

Okay, nice one Votart.

I'm going to try and find some time to play this. That's easier said than done however.

It's even more difficult to find enough time to be competitive, but I want to support AR2 and give it some testing so I'll do my best. Hopefully tomorrow I will find time to give it a go. Too busy this evening.

Votart, I think the glitch was you  I've sent a solution for this which is cheaper. The contest you now have is a different one, is that correct.

P.S. Force is still with us
It just cost ten times more than before...

It is surprising how much harder it is without any Dark force, doing this level just demonstrated to me how much Dark force there was in AR1

Anyway, I got there eventually. The fast forward is a godsend. One problem though, when I could have done with ARtweaker I found it won't work with AR2 files, maybe this can be fixed or maybe a good micro fine tweaker can be built in to AR2 so that you can run the simulation without having to switch back and forth between the tweaker program and AR every time you make an adjustment.

I'll start the bidding at 1250+ (no need for the Light or Dark symbols anymore just the score :) )

Dark forever in AR2 too!

The solution in style light will be much more expensive.

I've just taken my first look at this level and I was sorry to see that the pricing on Rubber, Tension, Timers was left at default.
With all the vertical movement required it would have been interesting to have the possibility of using these.

That's where I see the real advantage of AR2. We can make a level like this but 5 times higher, and allow rubber, tension and timers to be a viable solution by pricing them lower. I'm looking for level designs in AR2 to take advantage of the new features and therefore gives us new gameplay options.

As it stands, this level doesn't offer me anything different to AR1. I don't feel inspired to play it. Worse yet, it's a lifting level. I almost always avoid levels where pulleys and lifting mechanisms are needed. I find them tedious. It's not that I can't do them, I've won my share of pulley levels, but I just find them annoying, boring, and time consuming.

As for the dark solutions: these need to be posted in the AR2beta thread. Peter said he wants all feedback on AR2 to appear in that thread because that is where he will look. We need ALL dark removed from AR2, or we will be right back where we started. Any other evidence of dark force (other than jackhammers) should go there too.

If anyone produces any examples, like the ones Votart has posted, which show what may be some Dark energy please send them to Peterstock

You are not going to try and build a Jackhammer in AR2 because it won't work like it did in AR1. Clearly though it could have some uses as you can harness the effect of the program seperating all the plates, but it will be a very expensive solution. I am concerned that it is still possible to push the Dillo through a plate, I thought that would be impossible in AR2 :?

Votart, please send these examples to Peterstock. These are precisely that sort of problems he will want to know about before the official release.

I played a little bit, only jackhammers are dark (for now).

+1

#Edit: Forget about "demolution force" which 100% presented as in AR1.

#Edit2: Almost NoClip mode :) Look at cloth in attached file...

#Edit3: Parachutes are cool

Jackhammers are not Dark. Look at this, it cost 380$, would you use it to launch the Dillo, I think not. Irrespective of that this is not Dark force, the program is simply seperating the plates it is not creating the energy that it did in AR1. If you drop a plate on the end of a Jackhammer in AR1 it gets blown into orbit or it vapourises, in AR2 nothing happens, the layered plates simply seperate and that is the only energy produced. This could be used in some solutions as a launcher but I can't see any other use for it and in most cases it will be too expensive and very difficult to tweak.

As for the cloth in ioncorpse's example, I didn't expect to see that either, but is it going to cause a problem :?: or can this be used to any advantage, imo, no. I did some test with cloth and it dosn't appear to be possible to push the Dillo through it without it breaking. If anyone can prove otherwise please bring it to Peter's attention.

Is being able to drag cloth through (along) a metal plate a reportable 'bug' in the new version?
