ARF C XXVII Contest Results

Postby Cresta » Sun Oct 07, 2007 7:05 pm

At the end of this contest, I'm happy to declare that the fastest player of AR is:

:lms: FF , 7.50
:dms: FF, 5.98

I've assumed the bouncy effect as light, maybe we should define a rule for it!
Also congrats to wolterw, that gets the second place, just 0.04 late...

Ps: I should advice you that every dark solution LAGS a bit!
Pps: I've attached even solutions that used lightspeed, just for the show, but they were not been considered valid for the contest..

Here the results file:

I also think that from now, bouncy effect should be determined as dark (because it is 100% bug).

I could have sworn that there was a level where a tensioned plate created a bouncing effect. I can't seem to recreate it though. If it does then it just seems like the bars are putting some tension on the plates causing them to act similarly to when they're tensioned. Which could arguably be light

Tension did no matter, it was just really heavy so it produced bouncy effect: http://armadillo.metaclassofnil.com/for ... php?t=1037

Haha wow. How do you remember all this stuff?

I guess you're right then about it being dark. I wonder if the two types of bouncing are related

These are not two types of bouncing. Bouncing is product of heavy weight of anchored plate. When plate is tensioned (-100% as in that level), it is heavier (because it would become longer, if it wasn't anchored), so the bouncy effect is bigger.
