Dont think that changing rules during the contest is good idea. There is just no need to do it.

EDIT: 68000 Light (realised that was a stupidly easy way of gettin the dillo half way quickly and cheaply XD)

it is not so obvious: saving 1 point in time ~ saving 250$ in budget. (For my solution) ~ 4k in score.

Well you did give away that there is a cheap/fast way through half the level so I can look for a big hill or a gap etc. It really makes it easier. Sometimes it helps to see high scores and go "omg there must be a way to do X if he got $x!!"

Yes it does. It makes it less usable because of the vague-ness (hey is there a better word than that?? I'm curious.) but it will still help
