And the Light Medal winner is NickyNick with an incredible score of 45 points.
Luka1222 also presented a very nice solution but was not able to compete against Nicks "Machine Gun" Basketball Team.
Congrats to both of you.
No Dark Medal for this contest.

oh man thats rubbish, i thought the last thing you hit counted as a shot if i knew you could just biuld bigger back boards, pooh, oh well nice on nickynick i was on that line of thinkin too

Thanks for so kind words, it really wasn't so hard to tweak. Luka's solution is much more fun to watch

Luka your observation is correct. The last thing you hit defines if it is a 2 or 3 points shot. Imagine this "last thing" being the hand of the last player to shoot the ball. The back board is considered an integral part of the basket. So it doesn't count as last thing hitted since, in fact, you are hitting the basket. All this made me review NickyNick solution and I noticed that some of the balls before going into the basket hit the additional back board he built on top of the original one. This additional back board counts as last thing hitted and so the score is 2 instead of 3 points. Based on this NickyNick's solution total score is 39 points. He is still the winner of the contest. Merits to him.

haha! yeah I knew I should have kept reading before posting that

Anyway, nice work Nicky! I've got some crazy ideas for a 'no rocket' solution already but they probably won't work
