Hello and welcome to the brand-new "C" League Contest #12 - Safety!

Submissions to: t.nick.a@gmail.com

Contest rules link: http://armadillo.metaclassofnil.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1016

Naming convention is:
[Score]-[Money left]-[YourForumName]-[SolutionName]

Example:
1-1234-MyAss-Unsafety

GMT Time link: http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

The rules, please read very attentively:
1) The goal is to reach the maximum level of safety for solution. Solution has safety level, that equals n, if it continue working in case of deleting any n pieces, placed by player.
2) Note, that the safety level cannot be more than quantity of player-placed pieces.
3) Overbudget (for initial conditions, without any deleted pieces) is not allowed.
4) Each rubber costs 600$.
5) In case of equal safety level for several solutions, cheapest money wins.

I'm bored with special deadline rules  , so the contest ends on 4th of June, 18:00 GMT.

Good luck and have fun, tweakers! :D Feel free for your questions, ask please if something isn't clear for you! :)

1st: Just interesting, is my ProofOfConcept from previous level dark? By the official rules it seems light.
2nd: It would be interesting to see a solution with 50 objects and 4 safety. To test it you should try 50*49*48*47 combinations

1) I think that official rules need corrections on that point. A lot of new bugs are discovered :)
2) Haha, I will use heuristics :D

Another, very important addition to the rules: if two or more player-placed pieces (nodes) have absolutely exact coordinates, the solution automaticaly becomes dark :)

Imagine that you have got working solution. Then, if when you remove any of pieces (separately), placed by you, and it continue working, then your solution has safety level, that equeals 1.

Here is example for safety, that equals 4:

wouldnt that be safety of 8 since each of those layers is 2 cloth peices?
or is each saftey level a single node connection?

Just wondering. :)

Edit: I also think ioncorpse's bouncing hack is light since it doesnt add any energy to the armadillo. Basically no matter how many peice of metal that you add, the armadillo wont go higher than its original bounce hieght.

It's only 4. Safety level 4 = you can remove ANY 4 elements, in this level it is possible to remove 5 elements from one side (for example all right cloths) and the level will not be completed.
Nick, am i right?

Oh, I get it.

Basically assume that NickyNick is trying to destroy your level, one peice at a time. :P
He will pick the critical peices and delete those first. hehe.
He can only delete n peices if you say that your level has a safety of n.
If after testing a bunch of ways of deleting n pieces your level still works, then you pass.

nothing against you Nicky of course, just trying to make it clear to everyone else!

This is tough. but so fun.

So far Im at a safety factor of 2, which means all of my systems are triple redundant! More than commercial airlines. lol.

The redundancy department of redundancy :P

Still adding redundancies though. expect a large mess in the end as a final 5x or 6x redundant system.

As Ioncorpse said, "Solutions received: 0". :) :?
