This one took me a lot of trial and error. Mine solution swings and catches the 'dillo.

Hi!

This took me ALOT of trial and errors. At first I tried a basket that would swing from the left to the right and the catch the armidillo midway, but it never worked. Then I thought of another idea which worked!

Here is how I did it;

great game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

It doesn't even need to be that complex. Note that the gap betwwen the lower anchor pints is less than the maximum length of a metal bar....

This solution leaves $542 remaining.

There is are two pieces of cloth end to end between the metal bars.

This is the fastest i've ever found the solution up till now i guess (excluding the tutorial levels of course!), and now i'm quite proud of myself. In fact i was so proud i searched for a community to show it off, and looks like i chose this one 8)

Seeing it in action really is a joy ;)

Cost: 146 ... Here is my solution:

(Edit; BTW, i just posted and this forum is fast!)

Pretty impressive to come up with by yourself - the whole gap which lets the 'dillo through but not back is quite ingenious!

However that elastic must be costing you an arm and a leg - try replacing it with rope and tweak it a bit more :P

I'll try that this evening (i'm at work now ...). Although i think it won't work. The rope must be at least as long as the diameter of the armadillo (rope doesn't stretch...), which prevents it from catching it ...

Rope does stretch, everything stretches - even metal plates and rockets :)

Rockets? are you sure about that? It's hard to test because they have so much force anyway!

But yeah rope is one of the stretchiest materials - just hang some rope from an anchor point and attach some weight to it, you'll see!

You were right, i was able to make it some cheaper, albeit much less elegant.

556 credits left ...
